One day Wojtek shared that contact with water – once natural for him – had become inaccessible due to his progressing condition. Lack of stabilization of the neck and trunk made bathing or swimming seem impossible.
Seeing his posts, we immediately felt we had a solution that could help. We offered Wojtek to try the
Bath Bagel water cushion, which stabilizes the head and neck in the water. The product was designed for people with low muscle tone and limited postural control.
From Wojtek’s account, we know that his first moments in the pool – after many years – were a breakthrough. The Bath Bagel relieved his neck, kept his head above the surface, and allowed his body to float calmly in the water. From a physiotherapy perspective, this means reduced tension, even support, and safe, active contact with water.
For Wojtek, however, it was much more – a return to freedom of movement and experiences that for years seemed out of reach. After the session, he shared his emotions with his community, showing how much impact the right support can have on everyday life.
Wojtek’s story proves that even seemingly small solutions can truly change quality of life. For people with limited mobility, water doesn’t have to be a barrier – it can become a space of therapy, relaxation, and freedom.
